Social Responsibility
Solveryn AS is a proudly family-owned and operated company that embraces its responsibility as an active and supportive member of the Lapland community.
We prioritize the employment of local residents, and to date, our workforce is composed exclusively of individuals from the surrounding region. Every employee is regarded as a valued member of the Solveryn family and enjoys fair, attractive, and supportive working conditions.
In line with our social commitment, Solveryn also places emphasis on partnering with local suppliers and contractors, thereby generating tangible economic and social value for the Rovaniemi community and greater Lapland region.
Safety
At Solveryn, safety is at the heart of everything we do.
All staff members and third-party contractors undergo comprehensive safety training relevant to their roles. Every activity and experience we offer is rigorously risk-assessed to ensure the well-being of our guests is the highest priority.
Adventures such as snowmobile safaris, river excursions, and winter wilderness experiences are led by professional guides with expertise in operating safely under Arctic conditions. All participants receive climate-appropriate safety gear and clothing to ensure their comfort and protection throughout the experience.
Environmental Commitment
Solveryn AS, headquartered at Lehtoahontie 27, 97220 Rovaniemi, Finland, is deeply committed to sustainable operations and environmental stewardship in the pristine environment of Finnish Lapland.
We prioritize the use of locally sourced ingredients in our restaurants, supporting regional producers and reducing our transportation footprint. Our natural spring water is locally sourced and filtered to meet the highest quality and health standards.
All electricity used in our operations comes from 100% renewable sources, such as hydropower and wind energy. Our Arctic Wilderness Lodge has been built with energy-efficient architecture, including advanced insulation and smart heating systems to minimize energy usage while ensuring guest comfort.
Carbon Neutrality Goal
Solveryn aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.
Our current main carbon emissions result from the use of internal combustion engines in vehicles such as buses, tractors, snowmobiles, and outboard motors. As technology advances, we are committed to transitioning to electric-powered alternatives for all operational machinery and transport.
A shining example of our environmental values is the seasonal Ice Hotel, which is reconstructed annually using natural ice and snow produced through renewable energy. The primary carbon emissions in this process currently arise from the use of heavy machinery (tractors and loaders), which we intend to fully electrify by 2030.
Solveryn AS stands firmly by its mission to deliver world-class experiences while preserving the cultural heritage, social fabric, and natural integrity of Lapland.
